Science

The knowledge based curriculum at Allestree Woodlands School is designed to inspire and engage students in science, with the goal of producing resilient and self-reliant learners.

We aim for all our students to…

  • demonstrate a solid understanding of the scientific method and its importance to society.

  • be able to apply key scientific principles to their every-day lives.

  • be courageous when considering scientific problems to develop their knowledge and understanding of the sciences.

  • be optimistic about their own career prospects and the future of society as a whole through the development of scientific knowledge.

  • show regard for others by making informed decisions based on critical analysis of scientific evidence.

  • show real endeavour by showing resilience when dealing with challenging scientific concepts.
