What can you do here?

During break and lunch time the library is available for you to browse our collection of FICTION and INFORMATION books.

Students and staff can choose to read books in the library or borrow the books fora loan period of two weeks at a time. We have some great titles available and my list is growing all the time.

If there is a book YOU would like to see available in the library let me know and, if it's appropriate, I will add it to the library wish list

Research your homework topics with books or the internet

Read the newspaper. *Copies available of The Evening Telegraph, The Guardian and The Times*

A small selection of DVD's are also available to borrow on a 2 day loan period

Sixth formers are also welcome to study in the library during their study periodswith the exception of when a full class is booked in to the library.

This term Miss Martin's form 7R2 and Mr Oakes' form 8R1 have been using the Library on a Wednesday registration to help improve their literacy skills.  Students either read their own book or borrow one from the Library and it is lovely to see the Library full and time spent reading.



On-line chess club meet Tuesday lunchtime in Room 35 - how good are you? All levels catered for!



Working in conjunction with the English Department and booktrust all Year 7's have been to the Library for a reading session and whilst there have chosen a free book which they will be receiving shortly.  There were twelve books to choose from covering different genres.



Congratulations to Izzie Dean 11C1, Alex Jones 11M2, Louise Illidge 11C1, Beth Corden 8C1, Clare Henley 8R2, Kat Staniforth 8M2, Louis Hallett 8O1, Sophie-Jade Woods 8O2, Rachel Levers 8O2 and Ben Saccome 8O1 who have been appointed Library Assistants.  They help out at break and lunch time in the Library and are happy to help students with any enquiries.
